Suer Stahltechnik in Raesfeld, Germany, is enhancing productivity by integrating the Peak Performer 85P.1600 part leveling  machine from KOHLER with the 1,600 mm wide 42 RB series deburring machine from Timesavers. This setup allows a single operator to manage both systems, saving time, space, and energy.

 

A Young Company with Comprehensive Services

Founded in 2020 by Leonard Suer, Suer Stahltechnik employs 12 people and offers high-quality sheet metal work, including laser cutting, leveling, deburring, edging, and milling.

 

"We handle the entire processing for our customers so they don't have to," says Suer. The majority of their clients are from North Rhine-Westphalia, working in machine, steel, and construction industries, as well as railing and stair manufacturing and the automotive sector.

Suer Stahltechnik is distinguished by its flexibility and willingness to tackle new challenges. Recently, they purchased new machinery to meet a specific customer request, demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction.

 

Advanced Deburring Technology

After consulting with various abrasive manufacturers, Suer chose the Timesavers 42 RB series deburring machine. The machine, featuring rotating brushes, is ideal for deburring, edge rounding, oxide layer removal, and finishing. The clean surface achieved is crucial for better coating adhesion.

 

Straightening Uneven Parts

Suer experienced issues with uneven parts due to stress introduced during laser cutting. To resolve this, they acquired the Peak Performer 85P.1600 part leveling machine from KOHLER, which ensures flat and stress-free sheets before deburring.

 

Efficient and Clean Straightening

The Peak Performer 85P.1600 handles steel, aluminum, and stainless steel sheets up to 1,500 x 3,000 mm and 28 mm thick. Its advanced cleaning system and electromechanical dynamic gap control guarantee optimum results, even with varying cross-sections. The machine also features a barcode scanner and reversible leveling rollers for longer service life.

 

Streamlined Production Line

By linking the leveling and deburring machines, Suer Stahltechnik created a single, efficient production line. The integrated control panels allow one operator to manage the entire process. "This saves time, space, and energy, and it works very well," says Suer.

The successful implementation of this project is due to the close collaboration between KOHLER, Timesavers, 1A-Maschinen, a KOHLER Sales Partner, and Suer Stahltechnik. Regular consultations ensured the best process solutions were provided. "What I liked most was that they listened to every customer request and made it happen," says Raoul Knoop, machine operator and workshop manager. "The cooperation was excellent and everything worked very well."
