"Girls' Day" at KOHLER

On March 28, 2019, KOHLER invited five girls to its Lahr site to mark Girls' Day. This gave the students, in the 5th to 9th grades, the opportunity to try out jobs typically associated with men and get a hands-on look at our technology.

After a welcome and introduction, the girls were taken on a tour so they could get an idea of the levelers and lines developed and produced by KOHLER. In the lectures and workshops, they gained an insight into exciting skilled occupations such as draftsman, industrial mechanic, and mechanical engineer. They also got a look at what goes on in KOHLER's marketing department.

Girls' Day was first held in 2002 and is intended to encourage girls and women to consider careers typically associated with men.

KOHLER has regularly offered apprenticeships in the following exciting careers for many years now: Bachelor of Engineering, industrial engineering, industrial mechanic, electrician for industrial engineering, mechatronics technician, and industrial clerk.
