History
KOHLER Maschinenbau GmbH was founded in 1963 by Mr. and Mrs. Franz Kohler and since then has become one of the leading producers of leveling machines and lines for the sheet producing industry. The production program has been enlarged continuously since 1969 when Franz Kohler designed the first leveling machine for punching tools.
In the eighties the product range was enlarged by machines and lines for the steel and automotive industry. Furthermore lines for profile manufacturers and NC-transfers for presses were developed and designed.
With more than 6000 leveling machines designed and built Kohler is one of the worldwide leading producers in the field of leveling technology and coil handling.
On September 30th, 2011 the company Wintersteiger AG, based in Ried im Innkreis in Upper Austria, acquired 86% of the shares of the Kohler Maschinenbau GmbH.
Mr. Reiner Blohorn (MBA) leads the company together with the management team consisting of experienced managers from all departments of the company.
